Support

Fitra is built and maintained by an independent security researcher, not a customer-support team. Bug reports, security disclosures, and general questions are read and answered in person — usually within a few days.

What helps when reporting a bug

Your iOS version, the iPhone or iPad model, what you were doing when the issue happened, and a screenshot if visual. If the app crashed, that's already useful on its own — no extra detail required.

Common questions

The adhan didn't play.

Check Settings → Adhan → make sure the prayer is toggled on and notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Fitra. Custom adhan sounds also need Override Silent Mode enabled in iOS Settings → Fitra if you keep your phone on silent.

Prayer times look wrong.

Tap your location chip on the Today screen → confirm the city is right. Then check Settings → Calculation Method (different communities use different methods — ISNA, MWL, Egyptian, Karachi, Umm al-Qura, Tehran, Jafari, etc.). The Madhab toggle changes Asr specifically (Hanafi gives a later Asr time than the other schools).

Qibla compass is jumpy or wrong.

iOS magnetometers need a one-time calibration when you first use any compass-based app. Hold the phone flat, then move it in a figure-8 pattern for ~5 seconds. The compass also struggles near metal objects, magnets, or in heavy electronic interference — move away from your laptop or speakers if it won't settle.

I want to delete everything.

Delete the Fitra app from your phone. iOS removes the entire encrypted database when the app is uninstalled — we don't have a copy because we never received it.
